Black Business Minded Women is a community-powered platform dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and amplifying Black women entrepreneurs across every industry. More than a directory — it’s a digital ecosystem where Black women in business can be seen, supported, and found by the customers and collaborators they deserve.
The founder, Connie Amos-Parsons, came to Tiffany Michelle & Co. with a powerful vision: build a marketplace that didn’t just list businesses, but created a real sense of community and commerce in one place. The challenge was building something that could scale with the mission — functional, beautiful, and easy for vendors and visitors alike to navigate.
THE CHALLENGE
The brand had community momentum and a clear audience, but no centralized platform to bring it all together. Black women business owners had no dedicated digital home where they could list their offerings, be discovered by buyers, and connect with peers — and building a marketplace from scratch requires the right technical foundation to work well from day one.
THE APPROACH
Tiffany designed and built a full online marketplace on WordPress, integrating the tools needed to support vendors, buyers, and community members under one roof. The build was paired with on-brand copy and custom graphics — ensuring the platform felt as intentional and welcoming as the community it was created to serve.

Designed and built a fully functional online marketplace from the ground up — giving Black women business owners a dedicated digital storefront and the community a trusted place to shop and discover.
Built the full site on WordPress with a custom Elementor layout — creating a multi-page experience that balanced community content, vendor listings, and clear calls to action throughout.
Configured WooCommerce to power the marketplace's commerce layer — enabling vendors to list products or services and buyers to browse, purchase, and connect directly through the platform.
Set up vendor profiles and a business directory structure so every member of the community could be found, featured, and represented with the visibility they deserved.
Wrote brand-aligned, community-forward copy across all key pages — making sure the platform's voice reflected the warmth, power, and purpose at the heart of the brand.
Created a suite of on-brand visual assets to bring the marketplace to life — from banners and category imagery to social-ready graphics that communicated the platform's identity at a glance.
